  President/Executive Director: Christina Marie, Independent Film Maker
              
Christina Marie is a multiple award winning Writer, Producer, Director, and Actress with over 30 years experience in the entertainment business. She obtained her Theater Arts degree from Sacramento State with a Minor in Music. After working on the stage for several professional theaters, she converted to film with “Man on the Moon”, working alongside Jim Carey and Courtney Love.
               Christina's Writing/Directing/Producing experience includes developing 8 Features for her project, INDIEWOOD, a planned community development based on the needs of the Creative Class and the Indie Film Industry; and the execution of "Dance of the Marionettes" and "THE DARK". Christina has also produced several shorts, commercials, & live events at Arco Arena, Oakland Coliseum, and Westfield Plaza.​
               Her Non-profit, Capitol INDIE Collective, Inc, serves the community by making Entrepreneurs out of Artists. Capitol INDIE nested a portion of the Mayor's initiative "For Arts' Sake" by creating and distributing the NorCal Film Festival Guide, strengthening Film Festivals with INDIEblush Magazine.
               She looks forward to delivering “The INDIEWOODbus”, a Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead project; and INDIEhäus, a live/work/play space for Creatives.
               In her spare time, she works with government offices in an effort to bring more sustainability to Independent Film making in Northern CA. Her most recent demonstration of supporting the community was the creation of a short Documentary that accompanied a Federal Grant application securing Millions of Federal dollars to repair the Water Treatment Plant.
              
Christina won “Transformational Leader of the Year” in the category of Independent Film from T2 Communications in 2011; was listed as one of five, “Entrepreneurs to Watch” in Sacramento News and Review (April 2012); and was highlighted as one of three Producers worldwide at the American Film Market in Santa Monica in 2013 for her accomplishment of setting the filmmaking record of “Fastest Shot Feature” with her Paranormal movie:  THE DARK (shot in 58 hours, beating Roger Corman’s record from 1960 with shooting “Little Shop of Horrors” in 72 hours).  

 

Board Member: Owen T. Jones, Architect
               Owen Jones has over 25 years of place making, creating spaces and building environments. Seasoned technical knowledge transforms existing structure, and abstract concepts into buildings that repurpose the past while anticipating the future. A collegial process ensures the interests of all stakeholders are thoughtfully heard, carefully considered, and successfully synthesized into the final built form

 

Board Member: Mark Johannessen, West Sacramento City Council Member
              
Mark Johannessen, elected to the City Council in November 2006 and re-elected in 2010, is a West Sacramento business and community leader. Mark is a husband, father, an attorney and Certified Public Accountant (inactive) with a long history of working with families, businesses and government agencies.
               Mark has worked as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse’s (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) tax consulting staff in San Francisco and Newport Beach, and as an attorney/CPA with Price Waterhouse in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and as an attorney in Tokyo, Japan with the internationally recognized Japanese law firm, Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu.

               Upon returning to the U.S., Mark began his private law practice and now specializes in family law, including mediation and collaborative law, with the Family Law Center in Sacramento.

 

Board Member: Carla Mathis, Owner of ReEmporium

               For over five years, Carla Mathis has run ReEmporium, an online and retail shop in Sacramento, CA that offers vintage and handmade items. Participating in the Hacker Lab Startup Hustle in fall 2015 helped her focus on her new venture, Sacramento Creative Colony.

  

Board Member: Myki Angeline, Radio Show Host/Podcaster

Founder of Myki Angeline Networking Association (M.A.N.A.), Myki  specializes in music reviews, artist & music promotion, master of ceremonies, event coordinating, and media. She has represented musicians, booked talent for music festivals and venues, guest speaking on music business panels, and volunteer  as a committee member for the Sac Valley Music Industry Forum. Recently she was asked to asked to join the Girls Rock Sacramento music camp, a non-profit organization, volunteering her  services teaching self defense skills to empower young women.
               Myki  immersed herself into Sacramento’s local music scene back in 2006 which led to becomimg a co-host for Sacramento’s Backstage Pass in April of 2011, and eventually a Radio Personality for V103 Rock in February of 2012; expanding her  talents to the promotions department for Sacramento’s premiere hard rock internet radio station. Her featured articles on musicians and music reviews have been published from Sacramento to Los Angeles.  She has attended the NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) every year since 2012 providing media and press coverage with companies like Monster, Audix Microphones, Seagull Guitars, Remo Drums, Miktek Microphones, and Ultrasone Headphones, to name a few. She joined forces with Sacramento’s own Esm.7 in the Summer of 2014 as a host for video interviews at events such as Concerts in The Park, the Aftershock Festival, and The NAMM Show, which led to be hand-selected by The Women’s International Music Network as their Official Red Carpet Host for the She Rocks Awards in 2015 & 2016 (Orianthi, Lisa Loeb, Chaka Khan, Karmin, Jennifer Batten, etc).
               Myki created “The M.A.N.A. Show with Myki”, a music commentary podcast produced by Noisy Snail Studios, LLC and continues to podcast regularly.
